Repelente de Garrapatas
Sobre Este Proyecto
This device was a prototype for a wearable device designed to prevent tick human infections in US forests. The concept, from an MIT researcher, aims to create a revolutionary device to help people and the US Army combat tick-borne diseases. The device consists of reservoirs containing repellent that can be automatically activated by a microcontroller. The microcontroller can communicate with a smartphone app to activate the reservoirs at a given time or manually. The reservoirs are activated by applying a voltage pulse to a membrane, which breaks the membrane and releases the repellent. It is a wearable device designed to be worn on the ankle.
